"I am 45 years old now, and in the past, I used to work out quite
regularly, but fell off my program a few years ago. During this time, I
had gained weight (about 30 pounds), lost muscle tone and become quite
flabby. I also struggle with a musculoskeletal condition, so being out
of shape was not helping the overall pain and fatigue issues that are
symptoms of it. The boot camp environment was motivating me to do my personal best, to
not get discouraged and to keep committed to the process. Within 3
weeks, I was feeling much better, had lost noticeable weight (inches)
and was psyched to keep going. At that point I registered for a second
month of boot camp! After the first month, I saw considerable improvements to my shape, and fitness level. People around me were mentioning how good I was looking too! It was so encouraging!! After the second month of boot camp, I had trimmed down, firmed up and
felt motivated to keep on exercising. As of finishing boot camp, I've
been exercising an average of 3 times per week, mostly running, but
some weight-bearing exercises as well.
What contributed to my success, was signing up for this amazing program
and the great assortment of exercises that were coached to us by a fun
and motivating leader. I committed to the 6AM class and went every day
for two months! I did not miss one class and was always on time! It was
very hard for me at the beginning, but after the 3rd week, I found my
body was starting to cooperate, as it was remembering when it used to
work out before. I plan to work on my own fitness program for as long
as I can, and will be signing up for additional boot camp classes in
order to get a benchmark of my fitness level and to challenge myself to
do better! - Chris, Vancouver, BC. |

Something that really hit home with me was the emphasis on correct
execution of the exercises. That first week was vital to the
program if you don't do the exercises correctly, you don't see the
results. The program has been great in relieving back pain that was
almost constant. I used to wake up every morning with pain (to the
point I almost got used to it), but after a few days of proper
stretching and core workouts, I wake up without pain. Thanks again, for
your support and encouragement! I'll be back! - Jason Webber, Port Moody, BC. |

I joined Survivor Boot Camp in June. I loved it right away, even 2
days after when every single muscle was in pain!I recruited 9 other
people and we haven't stop yet! Totally addicted!
I'm now down 2 sizes in my pants. I don't like to talk about what
I've lost. With Survivor BootCamp, you win everything other than
pounds! Motivation, friends, fitness, cardio, toned body, abs (I didn't
believe that!) & lots of fun. The benefits are incredible. I
wasn't able to run more than 500meters without stopping.
Now, I registered for a 5km run and another 16km one in team of 3 with 2 other boot campers.

I was so pumped by it and the motivation of the trainers Heather and
Clinton. I had started a lifestyle change in mid December and survivor
bootcamp was exactly what I needed to kick my butt in high gear. I
loved the variety and the way it pushed me to challenge myself. Since
my first bootcamp I have lost 52 lbs, have dropped 5 sizes, and have
lost over 20". I rejoined survivor bootcamp in August and have just
finished that session...i will be restarting it again in the spring. I
actually treated myself to some Lululemon recently as I can finally fit
into it and not even into the highest size but a size 12!
For
me it was and continues to be a journey of self discovery, of loving to
work out now, about knowing that I am capable of more then I thought
and Survivor bootcamp was a very large piece of that puzzle!! I
continue my fitness, health & weight loss journey and hope to drop
2 more sizes and another 30 lbs. Survivor Bootcamp helped give me the
skills and I couldn't be happier!! Amy, Downtown Calgary, AB |

My first boot camp I registered 5 days a week for a full 4 week period.
After the first of shear pain, I was addicted and couldn't wait for my
class each day - and I NEVER missed a class. At the end of the 4 week
session I went down 6 inches and 6 lbs. I re-registered for the next
session - this time 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Again registration was
slow for this next session and it was looking like the class was going
to have to be canceled. As I said previously I was ADDICTED and could
not let the class be canceled or I might fall back into my routine of
working out for a week and eating healthy and then falling off the
wagon for four weeks. I got on the email and facebook again and let
everyone know my results from the 1st boot camp session and within a
day or two we had 17 people registered. I am now just
finishing up the 3rd week of the 3rd boot camp session and I have
decided that 3 days a week just wasn't enough - I needed and wanted
more, so again I am doing 5 days a week, and am staying focused on my
journey to being fit, toned and healthy. I have also just recently
registered for the Canfit Pro Certified Fitness Instructor Program
running at the end of November and I WILL be a certified trainer myself
running a Survivor Boot Camp at the end of year. Survivor Boot
Camp has given me the motivation to keep on going on a healthy path and
has helped me decide "what I want to be when I grow up" - A fit, toned,
healthy mother and fitness trainer who inspires others to do something
for themselves and enjoy being/getting fit. Kendara, Calgary NE, AB. |
