A Trainer's Recount on Shelley; Shelley is in her 3rd month of
bootcamp and from day 1 she has taken her fitness program very
seriously, she shows up every day with her game face on and gives 110%!
Not only does she work hard she listens to advice and feedback from her
trainers and will receive great results because of this. Shelley is a
pleasure to teach! Shelley, White Rock, BC. |

So first I want to THANK Survivor Bootcamp for kicking my butt! I
joined Survivor Bootcamp at the end of September in Chestermere,
Alberta and had Mogan as my trainer. I just had a baby girl 9 months
prior and needed to get rid of those baby pounds, so I thought this
would be a good start. I could only do the 6am class as my husband is
going to school and would be able to stay home with our daughter until
my class was over, then he could head to school. But that first 6am
class was a killer! Even the ones that came so early after my daughter
had been up all night teething!!!! But I stuck it out! When I
went into the bootcamp I was about 210 lbs, and my body had toooooo
many inches to tell you about. After the 6 weeks of training, I am down
to 197 lbs, and lost a total of 12.5 inches off my body!!!!!! I lost 2
inches off my chest (not sure about this one as I just nursed my baby
girl! LOL) and 7 inches off my abdomen!!!!!! 2 inches off my hips and
1.5 inches off my thigh!!!!! I don't know what Morgan did to work this
magic but I can't wait to see what else will happen when I join again! I
now have more energy, so I don't drink as much coffee as I did, I eat
better because I feel better about myself. And at the last minute I
signed up to do the Breast Cancer 5km run! I ran the whole way with my
family waiting for me at the end, and major support from Survivor
bootcamp!!!! I went in this with small expectations and my
expectations have been exceeded to the max! If you look at the pictures
I sent in, I used to hid behind my husband so my body would look
smaller...but now I will be out front and centre!I am going to
recommend this to all the new moms out there, take some time for
yourself, it might feel like torture but it is soooo worth it in the
end! Kameil, Calgary, AB. |

I enrolled in my first Survivor BootCamp with nothing to lose! The
trainer I had, was enthusiastic and encouraging that us being there is
a great thing. This already made me feel better. I took the fitness
test and really learned how out of shape I was. I attended the 5 days a
week/4 week session.
There was no better way to start the day with a sunrise doing
sit-ups, staring up at the CN tower. One of the best things is that you
can show up every morning at boot camp and expect something different
in a workout. We always switched what we were doing and it was always
helpful to know what muscles we were working.

At best I would have described myself as an 'infrequent' exerciser.
After turning 30 and becoming a father I figured it was about time to
start actually taking care of myself. Prior to Survivor the extent of
my exercise routine was the annual Sun Run. It always ended up being
more of a walk than a run and I always felt awful after trying to jog
any part of it. The results speak for themselves; so far I've lost about 20 lbs., put
on a bunch of muscle, am far stronger than I was, and have a whole lot
more energy. The running component isn't excessive which is great
because I'm still not a fan of running. I never thought I would be able to get up for a 6 am workout 5 days a
week. Now I'm often up before the alarm clock goes off and am raring to
go. I have now been a regular participant since August of 2006.
Survivor Bootcamp has motivated me to achieve my fitness goals on a
number of levels. Rea in Port Moody is my leader and her attention to
the exercise fundamentals has made a number of us bootcampers sign-up
for multiple sessions. Thanks Rea! Joel M, Port Moody, BC. |

Having Survivor BootCamp come to our school was an excellent way not
only to get fit, but also to bond with the other members of our staff.
There's nothing like meeting at the school at 6am on a blustery
winter morning to get the day started! Our trainer was great at giving
individualized attention to each of us, helping us all achieve our
individual fitness goals. We loved it so much that we signed up for
another session, and then another, and even added another afternoon
class.
Once the sessions finished at work, I joined as an individual at a
local Survivor BootCamp session that was closer to my home. Our staff
is keen to keep Survivor BootCamp as a regular part of our school
schedule.
Thank you, for getting us in gear and in shape.
